Hariharan Gopal is a photographer based in Chennai. For over a decade, he has travelled to the corners of India — not to collect destinations, but to acknowledge the life in what he finds. A fire ritual, a carved stone, a labourer mid-motion: each is a subject with a soul worth recognising. Animism is the theory. Life2Everything is the practice — the conscious act of restoring spirit to the static world. When we photograph a ritual, a stone, or a labourer, we are not just capturing a subject.
