Ramya Sriram

Ramya Sriram is a self-taught photographer based in Chennai. Street photography was her first classroom — she walked cities with curiosity, attended photowalks not to collect certificates but to understand different ways of seeing. Her approach has not changed: practice over instruction, observation over technique, presence over polish. She shoots street, culture, travel, and portraiture that values presence over polish. She does not stage moments. She waits for them — and is comfortable coming back without a photograph when the moment doesn't arrive. Consistent sharing became consistent mentorship. She now guides photographers at every stage — focusing on observation, visual discipline, and the ethical awareness that comes from photographing real people and real places.
